Nexon has revealed new information and a video showcasing Hayato, a new character arriving in the world of MapleStory.

After the new patch kicked in, KMS and GMS implemented a new potential to armor, that being the def% stat. As KMS does not have the hayato class, it does not face this imbalanced issue. Now simply put, Hayato has a skill called 'Shimada Heart' which gives a permanent dmg increase of 0.5% per 100 defense. Previous completed quests and rewards will not be reset. Steam MapleStory currently does not work because of many reasons, however, the best one I can think of is that the MapleStory hack shield sees Steam as a threat to the game and therefor blocks it from opening. Solution: play through the MapleStory website. The Steam Gamelauncher of MapleStory also does not work. Sep 17, 2016  'Hayato is the most fun class in the game' - Me 2016.

While Hayato's aren't out of the gate strong, they are the greatest scaling class in the game with the best non-mage end game due to high% dmg multiplier on Rai Blade Flash (680%x4). Although the brutal warlord Oda Nobunaga was cementing his control of Japan, it wasn’t enough to slake his thirst for power. Seeking immortality and to become a new demon king, he prepared a ritual at Honnou-ji in Kyoto. The feudal lords banded together and waged a fierce battle with the Oda forces in a desperate last bid to stop the evil lord. While the armies clashed outside, the legendary samurai, Hayato, fought his way into the temple and challenged Oda himself to stop the ritual.

While the two traded blows, a pillar of light erupted from the temple, casting all it enveloped into a strange world. Weakened by the unfamiliar energy of this work, Hayato must regain his strength and battle once more against the spread of Nobunaga’s dark ambitions.

Hayato uses Warrior equipment, with a Katana as a main weapon and a Wakizashi as a sub-equip. A melee fighter with normal mobility, he will feature high hit points, low magic points, and focus on strength. Players can play as a male or female version of Hayato, with a japanese voiceover and skills requiring his special katana.

Hayato’s Basic skills include:

The final encounter was within the Hard threshold for the partyBattling a single CR 24 monster with a full party of 6, this fight was within the Hard threshold, not Deadly. D-dimer test. The flip side: your party's resource expenditureYou did not tell us how your party fought, but it's important for you to consider how often they used non-rechargeable resources over these four encounters. For example, if the party got through the first encounter without expending a single non-rechargeable resource (unlikely, but just for the sake of example), then they will be going into the second fight while essentially still being at full power. If you were able to take note of how many spell slots, Rages, etc. Given how your party seems to be geared towards using good combat tactics, this one was in the bag for them.

  • Master of Blades: Permanently increases Speed +20, Jump +10, Avoidability +20%, Katana Mastery +60%, Willpower +30.
  • Keen Edge (Link SKill): At Master Level: All Stats: +10, Attack Increase +5, Magic Attack +5
  • Summer Rain: MP Cost: 50, Damage 500%, Max Enemies Hit: 15, Number of Attacks: 6, +15% Continuous damage for 120 secs, Cooldown 600 sec.
  • Shimada Heart: Increases your damage by +0.5% for every 100 Weapon DEF you have.
  • Echo of Hero: MP Cost: 30, Weapon attack +4%, Magic attack +4%, Duration 40 minutes, Cooldown 2 hours. Obtained at level 200.

I recently used an innocent scroll on my +65 attack (164 base + 65 scrolled attack) Fafnir Raven because I wanted to scroll it with 15% traces and noticed other than my range, my damage did not seem to drop at all except on really high damaged skills such as Falcon's Honor, Hitokiri Strike, Summer Rain, etc. Would there be an assumption that there's a bug that doesn't apply this class's attack toward's it's actual damage?

My average damage per line when using Rai Senranzen with the weapon scrolled was around 5.5m-6.4m with the 1st hit and I had ~1.7m range.

My average damage per line when using Rai Senranzen on the first hit with the weapon when it was clean was around 4.3m~6.2m. My range is about 1.5m with the clean katana.

Now with Hitokiri Strike I seem to miss about 500k range per line from 8m to about 7.5m.

If this is the difference between a clean weapon and the same weapon with an additional 65 attack then there definitely seems to be something wrong with this class and should be looked into by professionals. It feels like using 15% traces on this weapon would make no difference at all aside from a physical range increase.

Except I feel like scrolling a katana for this class wouldn't be worthwhile if I didn't lose anything but a scratch from a 65 attack loss. Because of that, I wouldn't gain much from 65 attack, or even 115 attack, if that makes sense. If the DPS from a loss isn't that noticeable, then I'd assume the DPS from a gain wouldn't be much noticeable either.

Nexon Employees (GMs in general) need far more training in regards to MapleStory

This tells me something extremely important right from the top - GMs have never once looked at the servers' rankings for the servers they're sent to look at.

Returning Maplestory player after a long hiatus

I was an avid player when I was younger. You're going back maybe 13 or so years now pre-Nexon. Throughout the years, I'd play for a length of time, take a break, uninstall the game, download it again after a while, and start the cycle over again.
