If you want to really max out that damage output, you can put down your W and try to land a triple Q, but I find it's generally not worth blowing it on someone you already ulted, they'll likely die anyways. I may be wrong here, but here goes. Earlier today, I played a game using Kayn as my champion and near towards the end of it, I used Kayn's ultimate right after the enemy team's Zed used his ultimate on me. In one short moment, I die to Zed's ultimate while I'm still inside him with my ultimate. So, I was wondering if Kayn is not immune to all damage when he uses his ultimate, I could understand damage like ignite being able to go through, but able to negate ultimates. I thought it would be similar to Fizz's E, but I guess not. Anyway, I would greatly appreciate help. Thank you.

When you want something to blow up
Basically, you wanna target either their APC or ADC in a teamfight. Your best bet is to make sure they'll be under 50% health sometime during the Ult, so your passive will kick in and do bonus damage(% Health) so that it also get's included in the bonus damage)
If you can Flash out or don't need an Escape, you can toss your W at them first, Then Ult in. That way you have 3 Shuriken/Stars to hit them. Hit E first, then Q, Then you should be able to fit another E in before it's over and make sure you get an AA in. If you have Botrk and wanna pop that, go for it. Since it'll do 50% of whatever Magic or Physical Damage is dealt after the 3seconds. You can also pop an ignite, but the damage from that won't be doubled, however it'll reduce any healing and if they manage to get away with a sliver, it should finish them off.
Your best bet is to use it when your target is CC'd, so they can't escape with a Flash or mobility type of thing. That's why popping botrk helps as well, not only for the extra damage, but the move speed, so you can stick on your target.
Often after you Ult, you can Pop R again, and it'll switch you behind your target, making sure you can get that AA in or just mess with their head.
If you're Ulting into a teamfight, it may be better to save W as an escape, after you Ult onto their carry, blow your damage, then W into a Bush or Over a Wall, then hit W again to swap places and get out of there. Since you're an Assassin, you can effectively take out 1 target nearly instantly, but then you're right in their team/back line and you're very squishy.
