Dmg Climb Onto Bigger Creature
For convenience, I will list them below, along with my thoughts and theories as to how I think they might work. Prove me right or wrong!
Ability
Proficiency Dice. This seems like it would fun, and it allows for some pretty big highs, but it's maybe too swingy? The predictability of a flat proficiency bonus is nice..
Ability Check Proficiency. Sure does simplify things, but..too much so? I like being able to decide what Ability the proficiency should be based on for each class. I would let the player decide which, if I used that option - it seems like that would open up some non-standard builds.
Background Proficiency. If you make good use of kits and tools, this he way we've used kits and tools in my group (basically not using them much at all), this seems like a better way to go.
Personality Trait Proficiency. I like this a lot, except it adds another bunch of things I would have to arbitrate as a GM..? I like anything that gives background traits a little mechanical heft.
Hero Points. There's got to be a better way to do this. I'd be tempted to just allow one automatic 20 on a roll once per..something.
New Ability Scores: Honor and Sanity. I'm more likely to work Sanity into a campaign than Honor, but I'd love to hear anyone's experience using either of these in a campaign.
Adventuring
Fear and Horror. I like the sound of these.
Healer's Kit Dependency. I seem to like options that make survival just a little bit harder, to force the PCs to make more careful decisions.
Healing Surges. This sounds like a bad idea, except for really heroic-styled games.
Slow Natural Healing. This definitely would change the 'realism' of a game.
Rest Variants: Epic Heroism. Seems suitably heroic.
Rest Variants: Epic Heroism. Seems suitably gritty. I think this is what Adventures in Middle-Earth uses.
Firearms, Explosives, and Alien Technology. I have very little interest in using these, but an assessment of them could be useful to someone else, so I included them
Plot Points option 1: What a Twist.
Plot Points option 2: The Plot Thickens. These two options seem pretty standard fare for games that have plot points or the like.
Plot Points option 3: The Gods Must Be Crazy. This sounds like it could be fun…
Combat
Initiative Options
Initiative Score. Too predictable?
Side Initiative. I like this. I might allow one character to aid another in their Initiative roll, for the PC side.
Speed Factor. This sounds hairy.
Action Options
Climb Onto a Bigger Creature; Disarm; Mark; Overrun; Shove Aside; Tumble. These all seem fine-ish.
Hitting Cover. Makes sense.
Cleaving Through Creatures. I've always used something like this, regardless of the system, because it's awesome.
Injuries
Lingering Injuries. I'm a little partial to this, just to give the PC cool scars, and limitations to work around.
Massive Damage. I'm definitely going to start using this.
Morale. This, too. Anything to keep combat from being just a ticking HP clock.

Dmg Climb Onto Bigger Creature In Minecraft
- Mar 08, 2015 Climb onto a bigger creatures: Rules to allow a small or medium character to climb onto a “suitably large” opponent. A contested roll is all that is required for the smaller character to climb onto the larger one and start clambering around him as if the larger creature is difficult terrain. This seems flavourful and is easy to adjudicate.
- Sep 02, 2019 As a DM, I would like the option to have the DMG combat actions appear there as well (i.e. Climb Onto Bigger Creature, Disarm, Shove Aside, Tumble, etc.) A toggle on/off DMG Combat Actions in the character's preferences would be great. Right now, I have to manually go in each character sheet and manually add each DMG action as a custom action.

Dmg Climb Onto Bigger Creature Lyrics
The rules on climbing do not require an action to climb. They are found on page 182 of the Player's Handbook, under the section 'Special Types of Movement.' There are varieties of climbing that require an action (like climbing onto a bigger creature, DMG p. 271), but your question was specifically about the simple act of climbing a tree.
